About

The Cybergarden was founded back in 2017 by Gavrail Blagoev – an IT lawyer and a passionate explorer in the fields of IP rights in the information society, cloud and software contracts in their many flavors, data privacy and e-commerce.

The Cybergarden is a digital project and a knowledge sharing platform. It provides analysis of the evolving IT legal framework as applicable within the European Union. It also shares insights about the intricacies of technology contracts. The central aim of the platform is to elucidate complex legal issues and at the same time keep track of the latest developments in the field of IT law.

The scope of analytical coverage incorporates several areas of interest. Among these are: tech contracts, IP rights and software licensing in the digital environment, open source software, personal data protection and e-commerce.

In addition to the identified areas of interest, several key trends in the IT industry often come under our analytical spotlight. These include the commercialization of personal data and the challenges posed by Big Data analytics as well as the widespread take-up of cloud computing services. In all instances, an effort is made to present a multi-faceted analytical perspective that takes into account the legitimate interests of both the digital citizens and the technology businesses which drive innovation.
